2008 FEBRUARY, The Netherlands

In February I went for a visit to our friend Peter Baaren-Grob in his beautiful Dutch town of Arnhem. The Netherlands enchanted me and our meeting with our Dutch friends-breeders was so fine. I kept my fingers crossed for all of them, but there could only be one winner. Here I present several pictures from an International show dogs in Eindhoven.

YEAR 2007

Since 2005 I have been interested ever more in the breed Japanese chin, about his history, way of  breeding and appearance. Photography is my big life-long love as well and Japanese chin is a challenge for me: to make a high-quality document and beautiful portrait, which matches a real appearance of chin. I took photographs in World dog show in Poznan 2006, in European show in Zagreb 2007, that's why my big wish was to visit and take a photograph of chins in Great Britain - a country, where they've very long history in breeding. I did not expect miracles, but this dream of mine came true very soon.

I flied with my friend Olga Dolejšova in October to Britain for "Japanese Chin Club Championship Show". Our friend Jane Thomas helped us to make a successfully organized stay, to see the breed from kennel Javalcy, and she also is an excellent photographer. Her pack of chins charmed me to full extent. Every experience with her chins was unforgettable. I liked very much a photo, where she is holding a bitch named Olga and I am holding a bitch named Eva. Several friends of Jane welcomed us very cordially and showed us their chins. It is always a valuable moment, to see chins outside a show ring.

The day when I went to "Japanese Chin Club Championship Show"had come. I have never seen 110 chins in one time on a show. Such a big number had not been even at World show in Poznan 2006. So much study material was in one place for me, my journey was really worth it. I met there people and dogs who thrilled my heart. I was standing there, looking and felt happy. Personal encounter with Mrs. Molly Coaker - with the breeder kennel Homerbrent - is quite unforgettable. She bred beautiful Jodan and many other superb chins. I have seen the majority of her exhibition dogs on the show and some of them I photographed. Her perfect dog show in the ring is unforgettable.

Summer 2007. For that summer we planned an utterly different programme, but our Gaia decided to change everything.. She pushed forward our personal meeting with Peter van Baaren-Grob, Marco Grob and Onorino Bertan. Our friend Olga Dolejšová took a car, heaped everything needed into it, but primarily our rutting bitch Gaia. Jodan Homerbrent, the selected partner for Gaia, was in reality yet more handsome than on the photograph.

During those few days in Venice we passed gorgeous time with wonderful friends and astonishing kennel of chins.

Japanese chin belongs to a Japanese garden. The Botanical gardens in Prague organised days devoted to Japanese culture and held also creative workshop for people interested in calligraphy, flowers arranging etc. I and my son took our Gaia and her friend Emy and together went to pass "lovely japanese time" in the beautiful Japanese garden. Our bitches were sometimes in the focus of attention and some visitors took photos of them.
